Avail Health commenced construction in November 2016 and opened in December 2017. It is located on Nelson Road just south of Loop 210 situated in the middle of Lake Charles' most dynamic commercial and residential corridor. It provides convenient access to patient-focused medical care for significant residential communities to the south as well as retail, corporate headquarters, and casinos to the north, as well as McNeese State University to the east.

The micro-hospital's services include inpatient and outpatient care, emergency care, cardiology treatments, and diagnostic services. Onsite there is a full-service inpatient and outpatient lab, x-ray, ultrasound, full-service CT, and cardiac stress test services.
